Our Timber

Jarrah, a native hardwood of WA, grows in forrests in the Southwest of WA. Early loggers extensively harvested SW forrests with mill towns becoming established in places such as Mornington, Hoffman and Jarrahdale. While some of these towns no longer exist, others such as Yarloop still mill timber. Jarrah is the only timber supplied by JarrahCo.

The company originally extracted timber mainly from the Alcoa mine sites in Wagerup and Huntley. However, a change in government policy has seen the company cease extraction and now all timber is purchased under a Forrest Products Commission (FPC) contract and delivered to the company depot in Yarloop where it is processed and distributed.
